Ethics

The Association of Petroleum Consultants connects people working in the oil industry or energy sector and helps promote their skills. Its aim is not to find work for its members. That is why,

Article 1. The association undertakes to:
  • allow members the greatest freedom of choice of the work formula (employee, self-employed) which will be established outside the association while respecting the rules imposed by the legislation in force,
  • not make any commitment without the agreement of the members concerned,
  • accept the departure of one of the members of the association whenever he (she) wishes.
Article 2. The member of the association undertakes to:
  • make the association known to each of its contacts with the oil, industrial and institutional sectors and work for its success,
    respect the rules of moral commitment towards other members of the association,
  • provide help and support, particularly in its area of technical intervention (rules of the art) to any other member of the association (for example in the context of relations between juniors and seniors),
  • only accept proposals corresponding to their profile (training, experience, mobility, availability, etc.).

Any non-compliance with this commitment may bring the association into disrepute and will therefore be grounds for removal.

Article 3. Rules of moral engagement.
  • If a person is informed of an available position that he cannot fill, he contacts the member of the association who seems best suited to fill the position offered.

This person contacts the client directly. If the person does not know any member corresponding to the profile sought, he or she entrusts the search to the members of the council who will contact the member with the best profile based on their experience. The same approach must be followed when setting up a team which will look for a reception structure enabling compliance with the legislation in force (laws, taxes, social guarantees, etc.) of the country in which the mission will take place. .

  • Under no circumstances will remuneration be due to any person.
  • If the work is done with a senior as supervisor, the two previous remarks must be respected.
  • If two members of the association are considered for the same position, no information that could harm one or the other member must be disclosed. The final choice will be the responsibility of the client.
