Christian AVERT

Christian Avert is a senior expert with more than 25 years of experience (SECOMAT Ingénierie Industrielle) in Oil & Gas (Upstream, natural gas transportation and storages facilities) through the projects and business development, with a complete knowledge of key market players (TOTAL and affiliates, GRTgaz, ENGIE, TEREGA / TIGF)) and associated ‘Good Engineering Practices’. Christian asked for to join us to be in touch with high skills engineers and managers to share know-how and information. Available to realized timeshare assistance or training (Home office – Pau, France / Front office) in project management (contract administration manual, project execution plan, …), business development (support for key accounts agreements, market studies, partnerships), engineering coordination, tendering of technical and commercial proposals (engineering, procurement services, consortium) or issuing specific technical deliverables.

Thibaud CADIEU

Graduated from Edhec Business School (2007), Thibaud is an expert in deploying drilling & upstream teams in challenging and remote areas. He has worked for Technip and the upstream staffing behemoth NES Fircroft before taking the helm of XWells Mexico. He has built teams of hundreds of expats in the Middle East, West Africa, North & Latin America. He is currently based in Mexico where the drilling activity is intense (land, Shallow & Deep waters) following the 2013 Energy Reform, and where the 2020 outsourcing law makes upstream activities particularly challenging. He currently services IOCs and Pemex. Languages are French, English and Spanish.

Christian CHAPUIS

Graduated from ECAM Ecole Catholique d’Arts et Métiers de Lyon (1976) and ENSPM Ecole Supérieure Nationale du Pétrole et des Moteurs (1980) Senior Drilling and Completion Engineer. He started in the pipeline non destructive control and cathodic protection business for Pipeline Services. He worked during 35 years for ELF Aquitaine / Total in the drilling and completion business. He was specialized in completion techniques, work over , cutting re-injection and SIMOPS simultaneous operations. Languages are English, Italian and French.

Jacques DALODE

Graduated from Ecole des Mines de Paris (1972) and from ENSPM (1974). Worked as project supervisor, reservoir engineer, production engineer. Broad experience in field development and production, encompassing various positions as commercial manager, production manager, operations manager and general manager in Norway and West Africa. Since 1996, independent consultant in reservoir engineering, production engineering and production sharing agreements.

René FLAO

Has a wide experience in oil industry services, operations & maintenance, projects coordination and supervision, training management. Most of his career was spent overseas in the Middle East, Africa and South America, he has worked 11 years with FLOPETROL SCHLUMBERGER. He then joined GEOSERVICES for 12 years, and SCHLUMBERGER WL&T in 1995, acquiring a multidisciplinary experience in production services (Early production Facilities), projects engineering, construction and training. Freelance consultant since 2001, highly motivated to continue his career accepting expatriation. Languages are English, Spanish, and French.

Jean-Pierre FROIDEVAUX

Graduated from Institut Universitaire de Technologie (Génie Mécanique – Besançon – 1975). He has 24 years of experience in field drilling operations as Drilling Supervisor, Senior Drilling Supervisor and Drilling Superintendent. First working for 15 years with TOTAL CFP then as Consultant with several international oil companies (TOTAL, BHP, ELF, WASCANA, ALEPCO, FINA, QATARGAS, PETRONAS). He has a broad experience in exploration and development wells : vertical, deviated, and horizontal, on onshore and offshore installations (jack up, swamp barge, fixed platform, semi-submersible). Also active in personnel training for SONATRACH and as Project Manager for HALLIBURTON INTEGRATED SERVICES in Algeria.

William GRAS

Master degree in geosciences from ENSG, Nancy, William has worked 12 years in Total. He started with CCUS topics before working as a reservoir engineer with either a global focus on data (reserve certification, gas strategy, long term plan and reserves exercises) or dedicated studies (Congo, Brasil).Then William moved to a in house consulting position, mainly on change.
Since 2019, William is fully involved in raising awareness about planetary boundaries and at first, climate change. His audience goes from citizens to high states officials, private equity and companies (top and bottom). He helps leaders conducting change in their companies and through their stakeholde. William makes people independant at both strategy and operational scale by making them understand what carbon neutrality means and what is the responsability split between the different stakeholders.

Louis HEUZE

Born in 1948, Postgraduate in Applied Geophysics from Paris-Jussieu University (1970) and Drilling /Production Petroleum Engineer from ENSPM (1971), fluent in English and Spanish, he held various positions in TOTAL from February 1973 until 2012 : onshore and offshore Operations Manager, Head of R&D in Drilling, Head of Internal Communication, Business Development for Middle East and Africa, General Manager in Congo and Brunei, Senior VP HSSE-SD Upstream. He created in 2012 his own consulting company, IESIS, offering assistance in : HSE issues and management, Managing the social and environmental impacts of O&G operations, Development and implementation of HSE MS, Reviewing safety procedures and standards of O&G industry, Development of HSE policies, Risks Awareness / Prevention and Management of Risks, Crisis management, Emergency response, Drafting and Leading of HSE training programs, HSE operations supervision and policy review, elaboration of HSE improvement plans, HSE regulatory assistance for Operations / Drilling / Construction Divisions, Management of Change. He is also General Delegate for Africa of EVOLEN, ex-GEP-AFTP (Groupement des Entreprises Pétrolières et Parapétrolières – Association Française des Techniciens du Pétrole), which is the French Association of 250 Companies and 1100 professionals and experts in the Oil, Gas and related Industries. 

Philippe LABAT

Born in 1953, graduated engineer from Ecole Polytechnique Paris (73) and ENSPM (77). He has 25 years of experience as a production engineer and operations manager of oil producing companies. He has a wide experience of artificial lift, water injection and production operations. He developed a good experience of money-making with small to medium size oilfields (1 000 to 10 000 barrels a day), staff management including recruitment, training and termination, health safety and environment. He also has a good knowledge of oil contracts (production sharing, joint operating agreements) and economics (assets evaluation, purchase and sales).

Guy MIESZCZAK

After 30 years in the oil & gas industry (deep offshore, rigs, refineries, petrochemical plants), has set up a company specialising in the overall management of major industrial projects. It is organised around three business lines: project management / construction of structures and industrial assets with high technological content / services including industrial maintenance and digital development of companies (technology and organisational change).

Edmond NGALEMO

Electrical and petroleum engineer with international experience in Cameroon, Algeria, Tunisia, Italy, Romania, France and Canada. He worked 18 years at Schlumberger in reservoir evaluation, well integrity and production, where he held various positions in field logging operations, technical sales expertise and digital product creation. Daniel PICARD

Daniel Picard has spent most of his career with TOTAL in the Exploration Production Branch. He has been involved in most of the major Development Projects worldwide of TOTAL, particularly as Project Director for the Dalia Development in Angola; he was deputy MD in Norway and later MD for TOTAL QATAR, then became VP Development for TOTAL E&P. He spent quite some time abroad: in the UK, in Norway, in the Middle East, Abu Dhabi and Qatar, and lately in Brazil.For his last appointment in Brazil, he was seconded during 4 years to Petrobras as Special Adviser to the Petrobras Director of the LIBRA Project (later called Merou), a deep offshore giant Project in the presalt.

He retired from TOTAL in 2018 and is now a senior consultant in O&G matters, advising various banks and Ministries such as the MPEM in Mauritania, the Senegal Ministry etc. He is also a consultant on Energy transition for IFC/World Bank.

Daniel Picard was educated at Ecole des Mines, Stanford University, INSEAD and London School of Economics (LSE).

Akil ZAIMI

Born in 1958, graduated from Ecole Centrale Paris (81) and in Petroleum Economics from IFP School (83). Worked in the upstream sector on a wide range of projects for governments, oil companies and consulting firms. Contributed to implement one of the first progressive (R factor type) fiscal regimes. Analysis and economic modeling of upstream projects, risk analysis, training.
